The Open Education Foundation funds the creation of new local non-profit organizations that develop high-quality teaching materials covering the entire national curriculum. These materials, created by respected authors employed by the local organizations, are designed to be more effective and significantly more affordable than those produced by commercial publishers.
The Open Education Foundation also develops a platform that allows teachers to create, adapt, and share teaching materials for all subjects. It’s easy to use, affordable to maintain, and fully customizable—enabling schools to tailor resources to their students’ needs. Teachers can edit content as easily as a slide deck, design their own textbooks, and access a growing library of shared materials created by fellow educators.
The Open Education Foundation is based in the Netherlands and is classified as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI). Find our policy plan. The Dutch version can be found here.
